Ancelotti Calls for More Playing Time for Endrick as Roma and AC Milan Explore Loan Move

Carlo Ancelotti has highlighted the importance of regular playing time for Endrick, with the Real Madrid forward once again at the centre of speculation over a possible move away from the Spanish giants.

The Brazil head coach addressed Endrick’s situation during a press conference ahead of Brazil’s upcoming fixtures, pointing to a broader issue affecting young Brazilian players who move to Europe at an early age. 

Ancelotti: Endrick needs regular football

Ancelotti believes young players need consistent minutes to continue developing.

Discussing Endrick and fellow Brazilian youngster Estêvão, the coach explained that talented players can struggle to progress when they move to major European clubs but find themselves with limited opportunities.

“Without playing they cannot progress.”

Ancelotti added that he expects Endrick to become an important player for Brazil in the future. 

The comments come at a difficult moment for Endrick at Real Madrid. The forward has reportedly played only four minutes for the club so far this season, with competition for attacking positions limiting his opportunities. A minor muscular issue has also affected his early-season involvement. 

Real Madrid loan could become an option

Endrick’s lack of playing time has naturally revived speculation about a potential loan move during the January transfer window.

The Brazilian previously spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Lyon, where he made 41 appearances and scored seven goals, according to the report. 

A temporary departure could therefore provide the 20-year-old with an opportunity to play more regularly while remaining under contract with Real Madrid.

However, a loan is not currently confirmed, and the situation could change depending on Endrick’s role at Madrid over the coming months.

AC Milan and Roma monitoring the situation

Two Serie A clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on Endrick’s circumstances.

AC Milan had already shown interest in bringing the Brazilian to Italy during the summer and are expected to remain in contact with his representatives.

Roma have also emerged as another potential destination. According to Goal’s report, the club has recently made moves regarding the forward as it considers attacking options for the squad. 

For now, there is no confirmed agreement between Endrick, Real Madrid and either Italian club.

Endrick’s next chapter at Real Madrid

Endrick’s situation is likely to remain one of the stories to follow as the season develops.

Real Madrid invested heavily in the Brazilian’s development, while his performances with Brazil have kept him firmly in the national team’s plans. At the same time, the limited number of minutes available to him at club level has created questions about how he can maintain his development.

With the January transfer window still ahead, Real Madrid will have to assess whether Endrick can receive a bigger role in Madrid or whether another loan spell would provide the playing time Ancelotti believes young players need.

For now, Roma and AC Milan are reportedly monitoring the situation, while Endrick’s future remains in Madrid’s hands.
