Barcelona are reportedly preparing a major move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, while Real Madrid have been handed a potential opening in their pursuit of Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise.

The two situations are among the latest transfer stories attracting attention across Europe, although both remain at the rumor stage and no agreement has been confirmed.

Barcelona eye huge Haaland proposal

Barcelona are reportedly considering a bid worth around £130 million ($172.4 million) for Erling Haaland.

According to the report cited by Sports Illustrated, the Catalan club is preparing to make a significant approach for the Manchester City forward as they explore options to strengthen their attack.

Haaland remains one of the most prominent forwards in European football, making any potential transfer a major financial undertaking. The reported figure would represent a substantial commitment from Barcelona, although there is currently no confirmation that an official offer has been submitted or that Manchester City are prepared to sell.

For now, the story remains one to monitor as Barcelona’s reported interest develops.

Real Madrid still watching Michael Olise

Real Madrid’s interest in Michael Olise could also become significant in the coming months.

The French winger is currently at Bayern Munich, where he has established himself as an important attacking player. Reports indicate that Bayern are working on an improved contract for Olise, but the player’s reported desire for a release clause could leave the door open for interested clubs.

Real Madrid have reportedly been monitoring the situation for some time. A release clause would potentially give the Spanish club a clearer route to negotiate a future transfer if Olise decides to consider a move away from Munich.

Bayern, meanwhile, are attempting to secure Olise’s long-term future. Recent reports have suggested that the club could offer significantly improved financial terms as part of a new contract.

Barcelona also monitoring other targets

Barcelona’s reported interest in Haaland is not the only transfer story surrounding the club.

Alejandro Balde has been linked with a possible move away from Barcelona, with Manchester United reportedly monitoring his situation. The Catalan club are also said to be considering alternatives at right-back, including Sporting CP’s Iván Fresneda.

Elsewhere, several major European clubs continue to monitor young talents such as Rayan Cherki and Gilberto Mora, with Barcelona among the clubs reportedly interested in the latter.

Endrick situation adds another Real Madrid storyline

Real Madrid are also facing questions surrounding Endrick’s future.

The young Brazilian striker has reportedly fallen down the pecking order and could consider a loan move during the January window. Lyon and Roma have been mentioned as potential destinations, although no deal has been confirmed.

With several major clubs already assessing their options ahead of future transfer windows, the coming months could produce further developments involving Haaland, Olise and a number of Europe’s emerging stars.
