OFFICIAL: PATRICK VIEIRA DISMISSED AS GENOA HEAD COACH

Genoa CFC have officially confirmed the dismissal of Patrick Vieira as head coach following a disastrous start to the 2025/26 Serie A season, with the club yet to register a single win after nine league matches.

In an official statement, the Italian club announced that Patrick Vieira is no longer the head coach of the first team.

The statement read:

“Genoa CFC announces that Patrick Vieira is no longer the head coach of the First Team. The club wishes to thank the coach and his staff for the professionalism and commitment shown during their time in charge and extends best wishes for the continuation of their professional careers.”

MURGITA APPOINTED AS INTERIM MANAGER

The club also confirmed that Roberto Murgita will take over as interim manager, assisted by Domenico Criscito, while Genoa evaluates long-term options.
