The European transfer market may be closed, but the rumours surrounding some of football’s biggest clubs continue to gather pace.

Vinicius Junior, JJ Gabriel and Endrick are among the names attracting significant attention, with Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona all involved in some of the latest stories. 

Real Madrid stars remain at the centre of transfer talk

Vinicius Junior was one of the biggest names linked with Arsenal during the summer.

Reports at the time suggested the Gunners were seriously interested in the Brazilian winger, who was entering the final year of his previous Real Madrid contract. Arsenal’s interest was strong enough for reports in Spain to suggest that the player’s potential move to north London was being viewed as increasingly possible. 

The situation eventually changed, however, with Vinicius committing his future to Real Madrid. Arsenal subsequently had to consider other options for their attack.

Endrick has also remained a player to watch. The young Brazilian forward has been involved in transfer speculation since returning to Real Madrid, with reports suggesting that clubs could explore opportunities involving the teenager. Arsenal have previously been linked with an interest in him. 

JJ Gabriel situation attracts Europe’s biggest clubs

Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel is another major talking point.

The 15-year-old has asked to leave Manchester United, while several major European clubs have been monitoring his situation.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been linked with the forward, while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned as interested parties. Recent reports say Gabriel and his family have travelled to Barcelona while discussions surrounding his future continue. 

United have not simply accepted his request. The club has attempted to retain the youngster, meaning his departure could depend on the outcome of discussions between the player, his representatives and the club.

Gabriel’s age makes the situation particularly complicated because international transfers involving players under 18 are subject to FIFA regulations. His eligibility for an Irish passport has also become relevant to reports surrounding a possible move to Europe. 

Arsenal continue to monitor attacking options

Although the Vinicius saga did not result in a move to London, Arsenal’s interest in adding attacking quality has continued to generate transfer speculation.

The Gunners were previously reported to have identified Vinicius as a major target, while Endrick has also been mentioned among players who could interest the club.
